We were given three Case Files for our guest designer stint over at CSI this month and I managed to complete two of them. Today I am going to share Case File #180 which went up just last week.
Here is the page that I created. One of my favourites too! I just loved the colours in the this one.
So, I managed to include: Leaves, Doilies, Scallop border, Book Page, Polka Dots and Watercolour.
This Charms Creation circle in book page made that an easy option!
And I got the theme of my page and title from the Carry on Tuesday blog. I thought attending the muscial "Wicked" was a kind of magic!

Scrapping Clearly October Sketch
Good Morning!
I am still going on sharing creations from my scrappy weekend (that now seems a distant memory...). Today I am sharing my take on the sketch over at Scrapping Clearly.
A pretty great sketch I must say! And this is what I created:
I think my favourite thing about this page is the colours. The greens mixed with a little bit of orange.
And of this Charms Creations heavenly heart was a perfect fit for the page too. I am also loving the wood veneer that I picked up recently from Flutterby Designs. I think I may need to go and do another order!
So that is it for today.
Thanks for stopping by,

Guest Designer at CSI
Charms Creations were asked to be guest designers over at CSI this month and I have tackled two of their case files. One is yet to be revealed, but the other was Case File #179. Here is the file:
I loved the colours as soon as I saw this one, and decided to make my own patterned paper to match instead of searching through my stash to find something close. I ended up making two patterned and two plain papers. A stripey pattern and a flower pattern then a plain mint and plain orange. This is the page I finished with:
From the evidence list I included:
Stripes
Flowers
Pocket
Animals
Stamp
Washi - which I also used like a ribbon!
I also found the perfect Charms Creation to match this challenge, no colouring needed! I do love this soft peach heart.
For the Testimony I included my journaling in a pocket and I was documenting a childhood photo.
This was the first time that I had a go at a CSI challenge and I think I will be back for more! If you haven't had a go I encourage you to have a look and maybe play along too.
Thanks for stopping by.

D-lish Scraps October Inspiration Board
If you have seen the latest issue of Scrapbooking Memories you will have seen my current How to Graphic article is all about how to use an inspiration or mood board to create pages, and I created three pages from this very board (that Amanda so generously supplied me with early just for the article). Well, I have created a fourth page from this board and this time used the fabulous kit that went along with it!
Aren't the colours just awesome and so many things to inspire you too. Here is the page that I created most recently for this board:
I pretty much only used the kit to complete this page and with all the wonderful goodies included it was an easy task! This sunrise photo perfectly went with the wood veneer too, making a title a no brainer!
I created the background using my brights gelato set (specifically the yellow, and bright it is!) and a circle stencil and a baby wipe to spread the gelato over the stencil. I had seen this technique before but never tried it and I am more than pleased with how it worked. Needless to say I will be using this technique again!
The photo corners were created using the kit washi tape and cardstock. An easy way to dress up a photo!
So, it just goes to show you can create multiple pages from one inspiration board. Have you had a go yet?

Scrapbooking Top 50 October Challenge
The Scrapbooking Top 50 challenge this month was a great sketch, and it was just the motivation to scrap a group of four photos that have been sitting in my photo pile for quite a while! So this is the sketch and due to the orientation of my photos I decided to rotate it.
And this is how my page finished up:
I had fun matching paints and sprays to the colours in the towers and I am quite pleased with the results. A fairly simple page in the scheme of things, not a lot of product, but it was a lot of fun to create!
Using some of my Burdy's Embellies foam arrows. And of course my page staple, a journal spot from D-lish Scraps! I am loving this stamp from Kaisercraft too.
So there you have it, my take on the Scrapbooking Top 50 October sketch!

Show Us Your Stuff October Challenge
Another day another challenge to share! Today I am sharing the October Challenge from Show Us Your Stuff.
No people, easy enough and of course to include some kind of hand made embellishment. I decided to use some cute photos of our cat Pepper, who seems to love the bath!
My hand made embellishments are a heart pin and vellum bow from my new Rainbow Spelendour stash and a book print circle from Charms Creations.
A close up of some of circle and vellum bow. I love that the bow perfectly ties in that soft green.
And isn't this heart pin the cutest? The paper is from Dear Lizzy's new Documentary collection and so is the little ticket! Such a cute embellishment.

Final Posts at D-lish Scraps
September saw the end of my time at D-lish Scraps, but I can't complain it was a fabulous 12 months and it was time for some of the other talented people out there to inspire. This also means that I can join in and play along with the cyber crops and inspiration boards now! Yay!
Here are my final pages that I created for D-lish:
This layout used one of the September cyber crop challenges for inspiration, to read more about this page check out the blog here.
And finally this page, one of my favourites using nothing but little bags and doilies for colour! Check out the blog post here for details.
Well I can honestly say that I loved working on this team and loved working with so many fabulous ladies and of course a wonderful "boss"! Amanda is a generous and supportive lady and her business is first class. Thanks Amanda!

Scrap the Boys October
So, I am a little late getting this one up as I was up at the beginning of the month, and now we are having the mid-month reveals... Oh well, better late than never I guess!
This month the challenge at Scrap the Boys is to use this inspiration board:
I was drawn to the colours, the wood and the arrow/quote, and this is the page I created:
I started with this great patterned paper from Kaisercraft and swiped some gesso over to create my photo space. On the gesso I layered washi tape with arrows (two different styles) and then stamped with arrows, feathers and x's. There is also a bit of torn wood grain washi too.
This Charms Creation with book paper was perfect for this page, it suits the mellow and natural tones.
Layered behind the photo is some tulle and dictionary printed vellum which ties in with the Charms Creation arrow.
I used the quote as my title and used wood grain letter stickers (also from Kaisercraft) so it almost looks "cut out" with the background showing through.
I really enjoyed this challenge and I hope to see lots of your entries too!

White With One October Challenge
Ok, back again. This week is really getting away from me! Too many things to do, such little time...
So, today I am sharing another page that I created over my scrappy weekend. This is for the White With 1 October challenge which is this:
Such a pretty, soft shade to work with. I also took advantage of the pack of goodies from Resin Rainbow that matched the colour for the month. This is what I finished with:
I mixed some pastel gelato with my texture paste and used through this delicate Prima stencils (one of my favourites!). The doily, rose and border are all from the Resin Rainbow pack and were great for layering!
So many flowers from D-lish Scraps in my stash, so of course there was some perfectly matching ones for this page! And both the resin hearts are from D-lish as well. For the title I coloured a Freckled Fawn wood veneer word with black ink to make it pop.
I even had a matching Charms Creation Terrific Tab to include for this page, just perfect! Don't you love it when a plan comes together!
So, that is my share for today. I am slowly getting through them all!

Kraft+ October Challenge
Hello! I am back from a lovely weekend of scrapping with my scrappy girlfriends. I love these weekends and we all decided that we need to do them more frequently! While away I managed to complete lots of challenge layouts (and it felt good!) and I am slowly but surely going to get through them on my blog.
I thought I would start with the current Kraft+ challenge which is this:
I wasn't quite sure where to start with this one, so looked through my photo stash and came across some recent ones showing the flowers in the garden and I thought that was a great subject to use for this challenge. My page is fairly simple, but I think it suits the theme and the challenge.
I am pleased with how it turned out, the neutral colours with a splash of red. I even went on a little excursion around our building where we were scrapping to collect leaves!
I made a little feature of the leaves that I collected and added a die-cut feather from a D-lish Scraps kit. I also found this cool feather stamp in a Studio Calico set that I have, the wild and free is also from the set.
These cork thickers were the perfect finishing touch to the page. Not much to it, but I like it!

October Challenge at Charms Creations
Charms Creations has a great challenge up for October! It is a pretty mood board put together by the lovely Sandra.
Isn't the colour palette just so pretty?! So the page that I came up with is this:
I found some papers in roughly the right colours that I layered and mounted my photo on and used some gorgeous Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals to create some watercolour that I added to my background. Then for something different (and after being inspired by a you tube video!) I created some of my own perfectly matching die cuts!
This star was a perfect match for the colour palette. You can find the stars here in the shop. The die cut flowers are files from Wilna Furstenburg, and I coloured these in photoshop and then did a print and cut option with my Silhouette.
The terrific tabs are one of my favourite new additions to the store. This one is a diy one that I coloured using the same as on my background.
And the title die cut, another diy job! This one created directly in the Silhouette software and perfectly coordinated!
I hope you have a go at this months challenge too! There is a great prize up for grabs.
Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap the Girls October
Wow, October, that is just crazy! But, a new month means new challenges and that is always good. Today I am sharing my sample for the Scrap the Girls new challenge, which is one of the most gorgeous mood boards that I have seen! The colours are simply divine! So I guess you want to see the mood board now....
And this is the page that I created from the board:
I had recently purchased a pack of pastel coloured gelatos with just the right colours for this challenge, so that is where I started on my background. Simply colouring the background and then blending with water. Over this I added some white gesso through a bricks stencil to create my "wall" and then layered up from there.
There is one of my favourite items, the D-lish Scraps journal spot! And I am loving using word strip stickers, these ones are from Crate Paper.
And I can just about always find the perfect Charms Creation to add to my page and this butterfly doily runner was the right touch, sitting under my simple wood veneer title.
I loved the line of butterflies on the mood board and used that in the same colours as my patterned paper to run beside the photo, still using my trusty Martha Stewart butterfly punches!
Well that is it for today, too hot to sit at the computer any longer! Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head over to Scrap the Girls for the rest of the teams fabulous inspiration and have a go yourself!
