Thought I should finish off the Scrapbooking Memories sharing! Only a few more to go, promise!
These first three were all about using one sketch in different ways.
The next three are about how to use inspiration boards.
And finally, the last two were about creating Christmas pages without using Christmas themed papers/embellishments.
So, that rounds out my year with SBM mag. It was a fun year and great experience but it disappeared really quickly!
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back soon to share new month challenge reveals!

Scrapbooking Memories Catch Up
So, I am way out of date with putting these up on my blog, so I won't bombard you with all of them today, but I will share some of the pages that I created for my articles with SBM. They won't necessarily be in order either!
These three were for an article about ways of using more photos on your pages, without them looking too busy.
These ones were demonstrating all kinds of ways to include stamping on your pages.
And last ones for today, these were samples to demonstrate ways of layering.
I think there are still about another half a dozen pages left to share, but I will do that another day!

D-lish Scraps October Inspiration Board
If you have seen the latest issue of Scrapbooking Memories you will have seen my current How to Graphic article is all about how to use an inspiration or mood board to create pages, and I created three pages from this very board (that Amanda so generously supplied me with early just for the article). Well, I have created a fourth page from this board and this time used the fabulous kit that went along with it!

Aren't the colours just awesome and so many things to inspire you too. Here is the page that I created most recently for this board:
I pretty much only used the kit to complete this page and with all the wonderful goodies included it was an easy task! This sunrise photo perfectly went with the wood veneer too, making a title a no brainer!
I created the background using my brights gelato set (specifically the yellow, and bright it is!) and a circle stencil and a baby wipe to spread the gelato over the stencil. I had seen this technique before but never tried it and I am more than pleased with how it worked. Needless to say I will be using this technique again!
The photo corners were created using the kit washi tape and cardstock. An easy way to dress up a photo!
So, it just goes to show you can create multiple pages from one inspiration board. Have you had a go yet?

Another Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Share
Wow, the months keep rolling around. Pages keep being created and articles written! I can't believe that I am getting ever so close to finishing my time of writing the How To: Graphic articles for Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.
Now that they have been out for a little while, I thought I would share another couple of pages from one of these articles, it was from Vol 17 No12 and the article was about my favourite things to scrap with.
These are the pages that I created:
Can you see the things in common? My favourite things?

More Scrapbooking Memories Shares
Time for some more shares from some of the older Scrapbooking Memories articles that I have had published.
These first two pages were for an article about finding your mojo, because let's face it we all experience times when we want to be creative but the spirit isn't with us. My suggestions included trying a sketch (top page based on a SBM sketch) and checking out challenge sites and doing one of them (second page based on a D-lish Scraps monthly inspiration board).
These two pages were about using colour, not colour choices per say but the proportions of colour, the good old 60-30-10 rule.
Thanks for stopping by and catch you soon.

Time for a Share
Well, I have now had a few articles published in Scrapbooking Memories, so I thought I should share these layouts here too.
The first article that I wrote was about using die-cut backgrounds and this is what I came up with:
It is a bit hard to see in this page, but the cut out stars are backed with metallic cardstock.
Really love how this one turned out. The graduated coloured paper behind the quote really gives it something. Although I must admit the first time that I cut this out I realised that I had two lines around the wrong way so the quote didn't read correctly! Lucky I found that before I finished it up and sent it off!!!
The next article was about repeating elements in your page design.
A fun page! Lots of repeated elements - spots/circles, arrows and colours too.
Well, it isn't hard to see the repeated hearts on this page! And look at that a Charms Creation heavenly heart on this one. And you might notice too that most of the pages have a fair bit of D-lish goodies on them too!
Well, that is all that I can share for now. But I will try and remember to come back and share them as I can.
Thanks for stopping by.

Exciting News to Share
Well, I have to tell you that I have been holding onto a secret for a few months now. And let me tell you it has been hard! It is the sort of secret that you want to shout from the treetops. Well, now I can share. If you know me through Facebook, then you will already have heard, but for everyone else I can finally reveal that I have been chosen to be on the Creative Team for Scrapbooking Memories Magazine!
For the next 12 months I have a two page article in SM, My regular feature will be the "How to - Graphic" so make sure you keep an eye out for the first issue in the new year, it will be the one after the Masters release!
I feel so honoured to have been chosen to do this, and hopefully I will inspire some of you with my articles!
Thanks for dropping by.

A Share
So, a little while back Scrapbooking Memories magazine asked me to create a layout and a card to go with a sketch for their Easy as 1 2 3 feature. Well, it came out in last months mag (Vol 16 No 10) so I thought that I could share it with all of you now!
Here is the sketch:
And here are the layout and card that I created based on the sketch:
It was such a fun challenge and a bit of a surprise to be asked!
