So, I have been playing at my craft table again. Thought I would do another challenge, and one that I have not done before! I have decided to play along with the Anna's Craft Cupboard monthly sketch. I do enjoy using a sketch as a starting point for a page! So here is the sketch:
A kind of Project Life style of sketch. I decided to rotate to suit my landscape photos, but otherwise kept pretty true to the sketch. So here it is:
I have used some of my older photos that I have in my stash. My little Erin on her 5th birthday! Funny, because it is her birthday tomorrow and she will be 13! My how the time flies! I am really enjoying playing around with watercolour techniques at the moment, and most of the time I am using my spray mists instead of actual paint.
Well, that is it for me for today. Til next time,

Scrap the Boys - Feb
Have managed to do a little scrapping for myself this weekend, and with the heat and humidity what else was a girl to do but lock herself inside in the aircon and scrap!
I have done the Feb challenge for Scrap the Boys, which is to feature your boy/man and someone special in their life. I had this great picture of my boy and one of his best buddies, and I thought it was the perfect relationship to document!
Had fun playing with some of my new stamps. Just love playing with my stamps at the moment!
I also have another page to share.
This one came about from the need to play with mists and stamps and texture paste and masks ....
Thanks for stopping by.

February Inspiration at D'Lish Scraps
D'Lish Scraps has a gorgeous inspiration board up for February. It is called "Love Is", perfect for the month of love! Here is the board -
And here is my take on the board -
I just loved the cross stitched heart so absolutely had to use that in my page. But there was so much that I loved about this board so you can see bits and pieces of it throughout my page.
Here is a list of all the lovely goodies that I used from D'Lish:

February White With One
Hello, and here we are well into another month already! The past few weeks have seen me getting my kids ready for and settled into school, so things like scrapping and blogging have taken a bit of a back seat.
But having said that, I have a new month of WW1 to share! This month is White with Grape, a gorgeous shade of purple.
And this is my page -
This month we also were lucky enough to have some gorgeous blooms, frames and words from Manor House. I have to admit, I struggled to start with the flowers, but I think it worked out OK!
So, feeling in need of a challenge? Why don't you head over to WW1 and check out the rest of the wonderful inspiration from the team and do one yourself!

Scrap the Girls Challenge
Guess what?! I have scrapped for myself! I have completed the Scrap the Girls January challenge which is a nice easy sketch! Sometimes you need to ease yourself back into the swing of things!
Here is the sketch:
And here is my take on the sketch:
I have kept this one fairly true to the sketch and clean, although I felt it was missing something without ink/mists/stamping! I have used pretty much just things from a Studio Calico kit I picked up in the Sales in November. And the gorgeous girl in the photos is my little niece Alice, although she is not so little now, but she still has that same beautiful smile.
I also have another page to share, a sketch from back in November, from Stuck?! (I think, it was too long ago and I never finished it in time so it may have evolved!).
Pretty soft colours for a Christmas layout, but loving the gold! And I can't believe how little my two girls were in these photos. For the record, they are about to turn 15 and 13! Here is what they look like now:
Well, that is it for now. Hopefully I will be back soon with some Project Life stuff that I have been finishing off for 2013. Almost a full year complete! Yay!

More Inspiration at D'Lish!
Another inspiration board has been loaded over at D'Lish and it is so on trend! The board is titled 'Lilac Haze' and looks like this -
The reason it is so 'on trend' is because the Pantone colour of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid and looks like this!
So, with that in mind I created the following page -
I took my inspiration from the straws, the flower mobile and the touches of black from the chandelier. I used the following products from the D'Lish store to help create my page:
Head over to the D'Lish blog to check out the other great pages inspired by this board and then do your own!

New Year and New Challenge up at WW1!
Happy New Year and belated Christmas greetings! Well the holiday season certainly disappeared in a flurry of activity and events here, how about you?!
Now that the new month (and year for that matter!) has begun it is time to share some WW1 inspiration! This month at WW1 the colour is Tangerine! A nice bright but deep orange. Here is my take -
This month we partnered with Words or Whatever, I used the cute banner, paperclip and polaroid frame, covered with a little picket fence distress paint to give a white wash effect. My page ended up a sort of Project Life style which was a great way to add papers and not look too busy, and I used some old Christmas photos to boot! Who says you need traditional colours for Christmas?! Now, time for you to go and create your own tangerine masterpiece!
I hope to see your pages up soon!
