Last Day for Scrapbooking Top 50 January Challenge

Did you get a chance to do the January challenge at SBT50? It was a great quote to inspire:

And you could be inspired by the colours and patterns in the image too, which I was! Love any opportunity to add a bit of gold to the mix! So this is the page that I created inspired by the image and quote:

I used part of the quote as my title and the colours of mint, blue and gold, lots of gold! Can you spy some of the Burdy's Embellies on my page too?  I used a rainbow splendour stencil with some gold texture paste and I loved how it came out.

There is a gold and black hexagon layered with a DIY banner from Charms Creations.

And check out the sweet gold spotty button near my title, perfect little finishing touch!

So hurry if you haven't done yours yet, you still have a little bit of time!

Scrap the Girls - January

So does anyone else feel like January is slipping by in a haze of heat and humidity?! We are on countdown for back to school and TAFE here. Plenty of running around being done as all those little back to school jobs get done.

But the upside to the heat and humidity is the days being locked inside in the air-con! Good scrapping days! Today I am sharing a page created for the Scrap the Girls January challenge which Rainbow Splendour is sponsoring. Here is the challenge:

At first when I looked at this challenge my mind went blank, then I thought of some great doily stamps that I have (inspired by the henna tattoos) and then it was time to dig through the patterned papers and see what colours that I had to work in with the colour palette.

So this is what I came up with:

Turned out I had a few bits and pieces that worked with the colours, and of course you can never go past some ink or mists to help add colour.

I have used this gorgeous printed wood veneer from RS, along with the wood veneer word. Balancing it out is the banners from Charms Creations in music paper, very versatile!

This little cluster includes a pretty pin and epoxy from RS. Can you see the doily stamps peeping out? I used some distress inks for stamping these, faded jeans and seedless preserves, just about a perfect match don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a go at the challenge, you might even score yourself some great Rainbow Splendour goodies too!

Show Us Your Stuff January

Good Morning! Popping in today to share a page that I created for the current Show Us Your Stuff challenge. This month is a great bright summery inspiration board, and it was the colours that grabbed my attention and what shaped my page. Here is the board:

And here is my take on the board:

I loved the rainbow coloured boards in the picture and used that as my starting point creating a colourful fringed background. I also documented a summer story about how summer means cricket in our house (well for me at least!).

I have used a Charms Creations tab in this little cluster. These tabs are great for little clusters!

This cluster has some Rainbow Splendour goodies, a pretty pin, and epoxy and a wood veneer. The title is also hand made, by me! I created a script title that I fussy cut out to be part of my title.

And the final cluster with another Charms Creations, this time an arrow, a D-lish Scraps flair and more wood veneer from Rainbow Splendour. There is also a vellum card from RS peeking out from behind my photo and the hint of a D-lish Scraps journal spot. So much hand made goodness on one page! Can you tell where I get most of my embellies from?!

Kraft + Charms Creations Sponsor

Good Morning and happy Monday! Today I am popping in to share a page I created for the current Kraft+ challenge as a team member for the sponsor Charms Creations. This month is an interesting challenge of "On your bike" and here is the graphic inspirations:

I wasn't quite sure how to go about this one, but looking through my printed photos I found the perfect set of photos and I even had a few bicycle themed bits and bobs in my stash courtesy of Rainbow Splendour! Here is my page:

So I have used some of the cute clouds from Charms Creations for my ourdoorsy page of my brother and his kids getting out on their bikes.

A close up of the clouds layered with some word strips and wood veneer stars. I also made a cloud out of a speech bubble wood veneer from Rainbow Splendour. I simply cut off the extra bit and smoothed it out. Can you spy the cute bicycle pretty pin from Rainbow Splendour in my embellishment cluster?

The bicycle epoxy and wood veneer title also came from Rainbow Splendour. I even found a cute Project Life card with a bike that I added into my layering.

Make sure to go and check out the Kraft+ blog for lots of inspiration and maybe have a go yourself, you might even win some gorgeous Charms Creations goodies for yourself!
