Well, I spent another day over the Easter weekend scrapping and catching up on my TV programs. I have to say that I felt a little brain drain by the end of the day. Not sure if it was too much TV or too much creative thinking! Perhaps it was a little of both! Anyway, I managed to complete another couple of challenges.
Scrap the Girls for April is a reasonable simple task - Scrap your girl photos using boyish colours and embellishments. So I went to an older Crate Paper line (Toybox I think) which was definitely designed with boys in mind and went from there. This is my end result:
The other challenge I completed was for Kraft It Up. This month you needed to use five items/techniques from the following list:
Layers
Sequins
Mists/Paints
Tearing/Distressing
Stamping
Arrows/Triangles
I ended up going with - Layers, Sequins, Gelatos (included in the mists/paint category), Stamping and Trinagles. This is what I came up with:
Feeling pleased with my effort over Easter, let's just hope it continues on over the coming weeks!
Thanks for stopping by.

Challenges - Anna's Craft Cupboard and Scrap the Boys
A quiet Easter Saturday spent watching catch up TV and scrapping, who could ask for more than that?!
The first challenge on my list for my day of scrapping was the new sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. I must say when I first saw the sketch I was a little "scared off" by the big burst background, but I found a piece of paper in my stash that I new would work and gave me a base to start with. So, firstly here is the sketch:
See what I mean about the big burst?! This is what I came up with:
I am usually not one for adding stitching, but I think this helped tie in the background with the page. After the initial panic, I am really happy with the outcome, and I just love these photos of my little niece on her first day of kindy. I have taken to pulling photos my family put on FB into a collage making app and printing a 6x4 with them. This means that "small" photo files on FB come out good enough to scrap!
I also completed the Scrap the Boys April challenge. This month the challenge was simply to "use flowers on a boy page", now this was a double challenge for me as I am not much of a flowers person usually anyway. So with that in mind I found an appropriate photo and set to work. The flowers are subtle - a few die cut ones and on some background paper - but they are there! Here is the result:
Well I am hoping to do a repeat of yesterday, so hopefully more pages to come soon!
Til then, Happy Easter everyone!

April Inspiration Board - D'Lish Scraps
Good Morning! What a glorious weekend it is here in sunny Brissie! The days are still a tad too hot for this time of year, but the nights and mornings are cooling nicely!
Last month I was lucky enough to be the random prize winner for the D'lish March inspiration board. This won me a "just add paper kit" for the next months board. So guess what I received in the mail during the week? A little pack of goodness just like this:
Team it up with the inspiration board for April:
And the creative juices were flowing! There was no particular rhyme or reason to my page, just inspired by the gorgeous colours and probably the bunting, which I kind of mimicked with the paperclip flags. Anyway, this is what I came up with:
If you feel inspired why don't you go and check it out here for yourself!
Thanks for stopping by.
