Scrap the Boys February Challenge

Back for another February challenge share. Today I am sharing my take on the Scrap the Boys challenge, which is to scrap your boys/men and something new.

I decided to scrap my boy and his first day of high school - a new school and a new phase in his life too. I also decided to use my new Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart collection, challenging myself to use it for a boy page, and it was no trouble at all! Here is what I created:

There were lots of lovely blue tones in this paper collection and they worked perfectly with my photo and Liam's blue shirt. I love the watercolour paper, it is just divine, I am starting to think I may end up needing more of this collection!

I used some of the chipboard and phrase stickers from the collection also, teamed with some Rainbow Splendour goodies here.

And my new favourites in the Charms Creations store, light denim, in this case with blue, teamed perfectly with this page. Add in a cool arrow from Rainbow Splendour and a few other bits and we have a great embellishment cluster.

And in the spirit of trying to use up things that I have, here is an old frame from a Crate Paper collection (I think...), a great way to frame the writing on the photo.

Thanks for stopping by,

Show Us Your Stuff February Challenge

Did you know that Rainbow Splendour is a sponsor this month for Show Us Your Stuff? They have a great sketch challenge this month so make sure you go and check it out and maybe have a go yourself.

This is what the sketch looks like:

And this is what I came up with:

I used some of the goodies from the newly released Sweet Day kit from Rainbow Splendour. The new release only happened a few days ago so there might still be some bits and bobs left so make sure you check them out here. I think the gold glitter bow is my favourite!

Check out the cool foiled epoxy! And the wood veneer triangles (from a previous RS kit) I foiled in rose gold for some extra sparkle.

How cool is the cat Charms Creation heart! There are still a few cat Charms here if you "need" one for your your fur baby.

So, that is my take on the sketch, make sure you have a go, you still have plenty of time!

Thanks for stopping by,

Kraft+ February Challenge

Half way through February already, let me just say that is crazy! Only another week and a half and I will be back hitting the books. Four more subjects then my return to Uni will be complete, well for now, who knows down the track?!

But for now, I am here to share a page that I created for the current Kraft+ challenge, which is a colour scheme and a great sketch:

Such a pretty colour scheme and the perfect match for some new Charms Creations light denim embellies that had just arrived in the mail. So this is my take on the sketch:

I also used the gorgeous cut files from Cocoa Vanilla, I am hoping that Zoe will make some more to go with other collections soon!

Don't you love the light denim?! You can find them in the shop here, there are other colours too, pretty pastels.

Pulled out some pretty wire that I had sitting in my drawer, trying to use up the things that I have!

Well, that is it for now, until next time...

Thanks for stopping by,

Scrapbooking Top 50 February Challenge

So here we are in February, a super busy month for our family. Hopefully not so busy for you so that you have time to complete the Scrapbooking Top 50 challenge this month. This month is a great sketch:

Charms Creations is a sponsor this month too, so a good opportunity to maybe win yourself some goodies to play with!

Here is my page:

When I picked out this photo, I just knew that I had to add some touches of purple to my page. I used some of the Colour Blast shimmer dust in velvet to create my water colour background and I also used it to colour my terrific tab from Charms Creations. The great thing about DIY or white Charms is you can make them whatever colour you need them to be, a great staple in any collection!

I also had a purple arrow that I had to use and I layered it with a flair from D-lish Scraps and some bits from Burdy's Embellies.

Here is the coloured tab along with a wood veneer from Rainbow Splendour and the insides of the arrow in the bottom cluster.

So, now you have seen my take on the sketch, it is time for you to have a go too!
